Spiritually Based Therapy
Spiritually- based therapy integrates spirituality and psychotherapy, so that your religious beliefs can be a part of the dialogue and healing process in the therapy room. Therapists who offer spiritually-based therapy have trained specifically in how to work with you and support your faith as it relates to your unique life issues. In spiritually-based therapy talking about faith, prayer, and religious beliefs can be as much or as little a part of your conversation with your therapist as you would like.
This type of therapy is a good fit for you if it is important to you to view your life through the lens of your faith, or if you want a therapist trained in theological and spiritual conversations. For religious clients, spiritually- based therapy can be more helpful than therapy in which your faith is not addressed.
